I'm married to the love of my life, Joey.
We had a whirlwind romance...we met in June of 99', engaged in August of 99' and married in October of 99'. Crazy? Maybe, but when you find love and you know it...you lock it in!
We have 3 children who are my life! Taylor is 18, Luke just turned 9 and our lady killer is 7 year old Hayden.
I'm doing this 12 days of Christmas "thing" for my husband. I started on December 1st (you can start any day prior to the 25th you like, I just chose to start on the 1st).
What do you do? Simple. Each day you do a small token of your love/appreciation for your spouse. It doesn't have to be expensive (and believe me, it could get VERY expensive if you don't watch it).
I started with ONE popcorn tin. I also wrote a card explaining that over the next twelve days he would recieve a gift...nothing expensive at all, just little tokens to say I love him and I am thinking of him.
Day 2? A king size snickers bar (it is in 2 pieces and they even call it 2 to go). Now, you could a PAIR of gloves, underwear, sunglasses, etc...to represent two.
Day 3? Three mini flashlights I found packaged together for about 7 dollars.
The most expensive gift I have so far is for day 6. 6 pair of Under Armour socks he has been wanting (about 20 dollars). Day 12? A dozen Krispy Kreme donuts he can have all for himself OR share with the guys in the office.
Even on just day 3, Joey has been touched by these little tokens. Just that I have taken the time to think of HIM everyday.
Try it, you'll love seeing the surprise and look on their face :)
