I'm married to the love of my life, Joey.
We had a whirlwind romance...we met in June of 99', engaged in August of 99' and married in October of 99'. Crazy? Maybe, but when you find love and you know it...you lock it in!
We have 3 children who are my life! Taylor is 18, Luke just turned 9 and our lady killer is 7 year old Hayden.
I HATE to see Kleenex on my back to school list...I buy them and I know why I buy them. I'm not upset at the teacher, I'm upset that I pay my taxes every year and I'm still asked to buy Kleenex and hand sanitizer because it isn't in the school budget.
School budgets are being slashed year after year and that means more and more teachers are paying for classroom supplies with their own money. A new survey (by Horace Mann insurance) found 26% of teachers polled reported spending $400 of their own hard-earned on school supplies last year — up 3% from 2011 — and 53% said their school's budget had been cut. DonorsChoose.org, a charity that helps teachers raise money for supplies, says requests from teachers grew 30% last year.
So, when you get that supply list, don't hate on the teacher...take it to the school board. Teachers have our children at least 8 hours of every day, let's not come down on them...let's do all we can to make their job easier so they can spend more time and effort nurturing and teaching our kids.
